I was watching the evening news and saw something about Joey bra. There are two college students who came up with the idea of a bra
that does have pockets to hold Ids, keys, credit cards and even a phone while out and about when the purse it too big to carry on. I was impressed with their innovation but what
impressed me the most was how they got the money to fund their project to
even start. I found out that they used Kickstarter.
Kickstarter is a site that every week, tens of thousands of
people pledge millions of dollars to projects from the worlds of music, film,
art, technology, design, games, fashion, food, publishing, and other creative
fields around the world. The spoke person said since its launch on April 28th,
2009, more than one and a quarter million people have pledged $130 million to
projects by creators who always maintain full ownership and complete creative
control of their work.
The kickers (people who donate the money) do not get a share of your project if well triumph
but you give them some form of rewards based on what and how you decide to give the, If
the kickers feel the project is worth to support they will chip in to get to the money you requested.
On that interview the spoke person said that there are many
projects that were not success because those creators were not able to converse
kickers about their ideas. If the project does not reach the money requested
they don’t get paid. In order for you to get the money your project at least
should collect 90% of the money requested. If you promise kickers when pledged certain amount of money you will
give them a book it is your obligation to do that and that is from your good heart. I think you must be crazy if people help you to get on your feet and then you don not keep your promise.
They use Amazon payment to collect
the money and not Paypal. So before you create your project you must know how
you will be able to get the money from Amazon as it is not in many countries yet
as Paypal but I have seen many projects from different parts of the world..It worth checking out even if you don't have a project in mind but you can see all these wonderful creative ideas and maybe you will be bale to support other people.
By the
way they must approve your project before you are allowed to post it to their
site.
