Wow! Today it was my daughter's first day of preschool. It was a day of new beginnings. It's time for my sweetheart to begin an educational journey that will last nearly two decades. Ouch! That seems seems like an eternity.
I woke up so early in the morning to get her ready for her big day but it turned out I was the one who was more nervous than her. She was just talking about her new things she got and ready to go to school to meet new friends. I think I need to take credits for doing a good preparation for the big day. I have been prepared her for this day for over four weeks.
We arrived at school very early, in fact so early that no one was there yet. The only person there was a security officer. We got to talk more on what to expect in school and not to be scared of her teacher while we were waiting for the door to be opened. Then the cafeteria door was opened. Kids and their parents/guardians arrived and got breakfast for their kids. The cafeteria is a place they sign in the kids too. I knew my pick-eater wouldn't eat anything, but I asked her if she wanted anything and she said yes. Oh boy! What did I know. She really sat down and ate something with other kids. I was very impressed. She then ran away and started to mingle with other kids. It was easy to spotted her because she didn't have uniform. I didn't want to spend all the money on uniforms before I know if she would liked the school or not. I really liked the school but I didn't know about her also some people were telling me she was not ready for preschool yet and some were telling she was ready so I was in the middle of the road and just hoped for the best.
Time to go to their classrooms arrived and her teacher called her back. We wanted to hang around a little bit more but her teacher told us the best thing was to leave at that moment when she was happy and comfortable. We hugged, kissed and she just turned around and went back to her teacher. She really was ready for a preschool.
